Felt Owl Autumn Wreath – Step 1

Add moss and shrubbery to wreath

The first thing you are going to do is arrange your moss at the bottom of your wreath. I decided to do mine with green on the outside and brown in the middle. Then you can go ahead and add any other fall or autumn flowers/greenery that you want on your wreath.

Felt Owl Autumn Wreath – Step 2

Add a raffia bow to your wreath

After adding your greenery you are going to add a bow made from raffia to the upper corner of your wreath. Then you can go and set your wreath aside.

Felt Owl Autumn Wreath – Step 3

Owls made from different colored felt

Next you are going to cut out your owls from different colored felt. You can use our free owl pattern! Then zigzag stitch on your owls’ eyes and nose. You can choose to make an owl for each member of your family. Once you have added your owls face you are going to pin your front and back of your owls pretty sides (the side you want on the outside) together and sew around pressure foot edge. Making sure to leave the bottom of your owls open for later.

Felt Owl Autumn Wreath – Step 4

Turn your owls pretty sides out, stuff them, and sew the bottom closed

Now you are going to turn your owls pretty side out and stuff them. Then like in the photo above you are going to and sew the bottom closed.

Felt Owl Autumn Wreath – Step 5

Adding wings to owl

It is now time to hand sew some wings onto your owl.

Felt Owl Autumn Wreath – Step 6

Adding feet to felt owl

Once you have added your wings you are going hand sew on some feet to your little owls.

Felt Owl Autumn Wreath – Step 7

Adding felt owls to wreath

It is now time to glue your owls onto your wreath.

Felt Owl Autumn Wreath – Step 8

fabric pumpkins

Finally you are going to make some little pumpkins to go onto your wreath. You are just going to take a 4″ by 4″ piece of fabric and put some stuffing in the middle. Then hot glue up the edges and stick a little green rectangle in the center to be the stem. You can make as many pumpkins as you would like. Once you are done with making you pumpkins you can go ahead and glue them onto your wreath.
