GET READY FOR CHRISTMAS WITH THIS CHARMING WINTERY ADDITION TO YOUR DECOR A CHRISTMAS WINDOW FRAME! HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO MAKE IT:

Christmas Window Frame – Step 1

white rustic window frame

This window frame you can find at most antique shops and even yard sales. Many times you’ll find window frames in someone’s trash who recently replaced their  windows. Some window frames come with glass still in them, some do not. This window did not have the glass, but if your’s does the glass is most likely being held into place with a small bendable piece of steel. All you will need is a thin flat head screw driver to bend the piece back far enough to lift the glass out (just like the back of a picture frame). If your window does not have that, cover your window with a blanket and use a hammer to break the glass out.

Now before you put the hooks in to hang your ornaments you want to place your Christmas balls and tea lights where you want them. That way you know where you want to place your hooks.

creating hole to screw in hooks

Next take a small screw and create a tiny hole in your frame so that it will be easier to screw in your hooks.

Then screw in your hooks. Now use your fishing line to hang your ornaments off your tiny hooks. ( They look like their floating since you used fishing line ) I placed two bigger hooks on the top of my window frame to tie my twine too, for hanging. Once my window frame is up I then place my tea lights in my empty squares.
