With a little bit of time and little bits of left-over fabric scraps from your fall crafting and fall quilting projects, you can make this country pumpkin candle ring to wrap around your favorite fall scented candles in no time at all!

DECORATE YOUR CANDLES WITH ADORABLE PUMPKIN CANDLE RING. HERE IS WHAT YOU NEED TO MAKE IT:
- 1/2″ black elastic
- Small pieces of autumn fabric (orange & green)
- 6″ square piece of quilt batting (warm & natural is our favorite)
- 1 button
- Natural raffia
- Basic sewing supplies
Pumpkin Candle Ring – Step 1
Here is our Country Pumpkin Pattern:
From our pattern cut out two pumpkin pieces using pinking shears. We are using pinking shears to keep your fabric from fraying.
Pumpkin Candle Ring – Step 2
Using regular scissors cut out one layer of quilt batting. Once it is cut out trim around the entire pumpkin to make it smaller.
Cut out the green stem in the same manner as you did the pumpkin.
Pumpkin Candle Ring – Step 3
Sandwich the quilt batting between the two pumpkin pieces as shown.
Do the same to the stem.
Pumpkin Candle Ring – Step 4
Place the stem on top of the pumpkin. Pin in place. Stitch all the way around the pumpkin and stem going through all layers of fabric.
Pumpkin Candle Ring – Step 5
Using the pinking shears cut out 3 straight moon shaped pieces from a different orange fabric.
Pumpkin Candle Ring – Step 6
Pin in place and sew down the pieces.
Pumpkin Candle Ring – Step 7
Place little pieces of raffia, and hand-sew a button catching the raffia and all 3 layers of fabric.
Pumpkin Candle Ring – Step 8
Measure around the candle jar and cut the elastic. If you are using a large Yankee Candle jar like I did, I cut my elastic at 12.5″.
Pumpkin Candle Ring – Step 9
Overlap the elastic by 1″. Pin. Stitch in place.
Pumpkin Candle Ring – Step 10
Attach the elastic to the back of the pumpkin and stitch in place.
Pumpkin Candle Ring – Step 11
Wrap your country pumpkin fabric candle ring around your favorite fall scented candle. (My favorite is Yankee Candle’s “Autumn Leaves” scent!)
