How to Make a Halloween Appliqué Ghost Pillow

I love Halloween and what better way to get ready for the spooky season then with this Appliquéd Ghost Pillow! This hauntingly cute pillow will look great anywhere this Halloween season.

GET YOUR HOME READY FOR HALLOWEEN WITH THIS GHOST PILLOW! HERE IS WHAT WE USED TO MAKE IT:

white quilt batting
black felt
lace or trim
halloween applique or fabric scraps
stuffing
basic sewing supplies

Ghost Pillow – Step 1

Start by cutting out two 9″ by 6″ rectangles from your black felt. As well as a ghost shape from your white quilt batting.

Next zig-zag seam finish the edge of your ghost onto one of your rectangles.

Then you are going to cut out three oval shapes from black felt and zig-zag stitch the edges onto your ghost.

Cut a strip of lace and sew the top of it at the bottom of your ghost.

Now you are going to cut out some type of halloween appliqué or a halloween piece of scrap fabric to zig-zag stitch beside your ghost. I chose to do a pumpkin but you can do some other halloween staple.

Ghost Pillow – Step 6

Pin your felt rectangles pretty sides together and then sew around pressure foot edge. Make sure to leave an opening at the bottom for turning later.

Ghost Pillow – Step 7

Trim the edges of the pillow making sure that you don’t cut into your stitching. Then turn your pillow pretty sides out through the opening you left earlier. Stuff your pillow. Finally hand sew the opening you left close.
