Here we are again for our second week of MVDs! In this post, we will be featuring our determined and innovated designers each week! A.K.A., these designers are our MVDs: our Most Valuable Designers! Last week, although it was a quiet week in the studio with fewer students, the designers still put in their all for their fabulous creations! This week, we have two amazing MVDs; ironically, they even used the same fabric for different looks!
Grace created a chic and refined knit jacket and a tank top that is perfect for a fun night out or a job interview. With the flounce bottom and contrasting colors, this jacket is indeed a statement piece! And the tank top is a beautiful show of technique, as Grace learned how to do darts and a collar.
Using the same fabric Grace used for her jacket, Aliz created an adorable ruffled top that is great for any party! Not only that, but she also created a fantastic pair of shorts that match well with her shirt! Just like Grace, Aliz learned how to do darts in her shorts, even taking the time to match the fabric’s pattern to create a seamless transition.
