Summer Sewing Camp Details

Details: Instruction, Supplies, etc.

Our camps provide a positive, fun, and safe environment where kids can learn a valuable, life-long skill; gain self-confidence; explore their creative side, and feel pride in their completed projects and accomplishments! Campers receive colorful ribbons for each project completed that they can collect. Those focusing on fashion design earn rosettes for finishing an entire look!

Campers receive personal instruction to help them achieve their goals. We have an excellent 3 -1 camper/teacher ratio. Students with different sewing camp focuses (fashion, quilting, crafting, etc.) and sewing experience levels (beginner, intermediate, advanced) work simultaneously. This adds tremendously to our fun atmosphere of creativity and inspiration!

We provide all supplies: sewing machines, thread, fabric, dress forms, iron, notions, patterns, and more! Students are also welcome to bring their own patterns and fabric. We run an open sewing studio so that students can advance at their own pace and make projects that they find most interesting and exciting.

Days & Hours

Full-day camps run throughout the summer on Mondays thru Thursdays, from 9:00 am – 3:00 pm, with a relaxing poolside 45-minute lunch break. We have both a morning session (9:00am – 11:30am) and an afternoon session (12:30pm – 3:00pm) for our half-day camps. Campers ages 8 & 9 are encouraged to attend several half-day camps to make the most out of their sewing experience. We recommend full-day camps for older students ages 10 and up. You can find our schedule and availability further down the page.

Early Drop Off / Late Pick Up

Parents, please be considerate and do not drop off your child early or pick her/him up late. Our studio hours do not allow us for extra time between classes. To Be Noted

All camps run Monday – Thursday.

Full day campers need to bring a lunch.

Each camp type shown above is offered every week during the summer unless otherwise noted. Camps are run simultaneously. So there may be someone making a quilt, while someone else is making a skirt, while yet another student in the same week of camp may be making a stuffed animal. In our 19 years of running sewing camps we have found that this method works best, and each student’s project is inspiring and encouraging to the students who are seeing the process in that same camp.

Camp Registration

Every year since we began in 2001 every week of camp has sold out. This is in red and bold for a reason: Please register early to avoid being put on a wait-list. E-mail FIRST to hold your child’s place for camp. By doing so, you are verifying that room is still available.

Early Registration (before May 1): The student registration form and a $50.00 non-refundable deposit, per camp, per student, is due by May 1, 2024, and is required to reserve a place in the camp. The remaining balance is due in the studio on or before June 1, 2024. If the remaining balance is not at the studio by June 1, you will lose your child’s spot to someone on the waiting list and forfeit your deposit.

Anyone registering after May 15, 2024, the student registration form and full payment is required with registration to secure your spot.

.

Payment

You may pay by cash, check, or VENMO. We do not take credit cards. Make checks payable to: Love to Sew Studio. Please be advised we have a strict NO REFUND policy, however, we do understand that circumstances come up, and we offer a generous exchange policy. Please see our Summer Camp Cancellation/Exchange Policy Page. More information can be found on our Studio Guidelines Page.

Wait List

If there is a week of camp you’d like your child to attend and it is full, please let us know and we will put your child on a waitlist. Even though it is rare that we get cancellations, we do get students that need to change their week of camp from time to time. We know that the uncertainty of the waitlist is inconvenient so we do our best to communicate with you through email updates.
